Having come over form Bulgaria, aged 20 Hristo worked in a pub for 2 years before starting at Terry Smith Limited assembling coffins in September 2005.
Current DFS Caskets General Manager Dave Clarke gave Hristo the opportunity to come away from the shop floor in 2015 and Hristo started working on production planning, purchasing, customer service before eventually taking on the role of Customer Lead.
This role enabled Hristo to build relationships with many Independent & Muslim Funeral Directors and Mosques.
When Dave moved on and current L. T. & R. Vowles General Manager Chris Barker took over as Terry Smith Factory Manager in 2021 Hristo stepped up again assisting Chris in the day to day running of the factory, maintaining his Customer & Supplier relationships.
In December 2022 when Chris decided to join The Jukes Group Hristo took over as Factory Manager, a role he occupied for just under 3 years making it 20 years of service at Terry Smith working for Central Coop.
Alongside his day to day job Hristo is a football referee with over 20 years of experience.
Currently in his 3rd season officiating on the EFL Championship as an Assistant Referee football has been key to Hristo’s progression at Terry Smith and in his personal life.
